TRANSFORMING SERVICES AND CONNECTING COMMUNITIES AT t-GOV EXPO SPRING 2007
t-Gov EXPO Spring 2007 – 18th and 19th April, ExCeL, Docklands, London
Heralding a year of transformation for local government
London, UK – Supported by the Cabinet Office’s CIO Council and the Department of Communities and Local Government, t-Gov EXPO is the UK’s most comprehensive forum for transformational local government - bringing together 800+ senior local authority executives, transformation experts and experienced service providers to share thought leadership, discuss the challenges ahead and promote best practice.
Over the next year, local government faces a moment of truth. The financial environment continues to tighten, recent reviews are all calling for a major reshaping of public services and even local citizens are demanding change. With the recent LGWP, Varney Review and t-Gov strategy all pointing in the same direction, it is clear that Local Authorities need to embrace the idea that real transformation can bring major benefits to all concerned.
Against this background of change, t-Gov EXPO Spring 2007 aims to answer critical questions such as:
- How can 5% year-on-year savings be achieved for CSR07 – while increasing service quality at the same time?
- What are the practical implications of the shared services agenda?
- How can core processes be redesigned to ensure better value for citizens?
- What does HM Government’s CIO think about local government?
- How can local government apply ‘customer-centric’ thinking from the private sector?
Conference Highlights
The content of t-Gov EXPO has been designed by local authorities for local authorities to educate, stimulate debate and facilitate experience sharing around the key issues for local government.
